Bastian started his first company at the age of 16. Today he shares his experience from many learnings as an advisor for start-ups as well as for top managers in large organizations facing digital transformation.
In 2007, Bastian founded jovoto to empower creative talent and shape the future of
work. jovoto is an open innovation platform helping global brands and NGOs accelerate innovation by collaborating at internet scale with a global crowd of 80 000 creative professionals. Bastian has a background in computer science (University of Siegen) and studied Design at the University of Arts in Berlin. In 2013, Wiley published Bastian’s first book, “Crowdstorm: The Future of Innovation, Ideas and Problem Solving”.
His work has been featured in various press outlets such as The New York Times, Fast Company, Huffington Post, Die Zeit, and Der Spiegel. He discusses mass collaboration, open innovation, and the future of work as an active speaker at international conferences.
